We were asked by the Netflix UK and their partner Box TV to create a series of viral videos to promote Baz Lurmann’s brand new hip-hop series The Get Down. The brief was to create one hero documentary for a 1 x 30’ broadcast TX and four films that would live on social media to tie in with the official release. We also created 6 very short cuts for Instagram. The idea around this series was to show how Grime in the UK had sprung from the Hip Hop blueprint. Engaging new audiences to original hip-hop through familiar faces in the UK urban Music scene. The series was viewed over 6 million times across all social media. We did the research, casting, filming, archive research, editing and motion graphics.
